
News in brief: Bingo.com appoints new CEO; Titan extends pro contracts...
Former vice president of business development and marketing director Jason Williams replaces Tarrnie WIlliams as chief executive.

Bingo.com has appointed Jason Williams as its new president and CEO, replacing Tarrnie Williams who will stay with the company as chairman. Williams previously served as vice president of business development and marketing director, after joining the company in 2001. Bingo.com saw a 69% drop in revenues for the financial year ended 31 December 2010, although there was some recovery in Q1 2011 with quarter-on-quarter revenues doubling.
Titan Poker has extended the contracts of two of its sponsored players, Sam Trickett and Marvin Rettenmaier, with the duo representing the site “ on Playtech’s iPoker network “ for the remainder of 2011. Englishman Trickett has nearly US$3m in tournament earnings this year, while German Rettenmaier won the final of the France Poker Series in February.
Sharon Byrne has been appointed as the new commercial manager for Irish bookmaker Boylesports. Byrne has 15 years experience as an independent bookmaker, and is currently chairperson of the Irish Bookmakers’ Association.
