Unibet has responded after receiving a suspended fine of 75,000 from the Brussels correctional court for breaching advertising regulations.

Unibet has responded to a ruling from the Brussels correctional court, which saw the company hit with a suspended fine of 75,000 for breaching advertising regulations. The Swedish operator admitted its surprise at the ruling, having been led to believe the judge would merely be ruling on the admissibility of the case on Thursday rather than acting before Unibet had made its plea. According to Belgian news website RTLinfo.be, Unibet’s lawyer Axel Clerens expects to receive a copy of the ruling, and to be given sufficient time to respond appropriately.
Barcrest has supplied Ladbrokes with an Irish-themed version of its Rainbow Riches slots game in time for St Patrick’s Day on Thursday and this week’s Cheltenham Festival. The IGT subsidiary already supplies Ladbrokes with a scratchcard game under the Rainbow Riches banner, having agreed a deal in January.
Net Entertainment’s share price has fallen by 9% since Thursday. The figures from the Stockholm Stock Exchange come following an announcement from the Swedish supplier that it expects its EBIT margin for the first quarter of 2011 to be lower than for the fourth quarter of 2010. Net Entertainment’s Q1 interim report will be published on 28 April.

Deliverance Poker, an online poker site which is yet to go live, is suing Mizrachi for breach of contract after he allegedly reneged on a deal to wear the company’s badge throughout the 2010 World Series of Poker main event. Judge James Nowlin of the US District Court for Western Texas ruled that the case will come to trial on 25 April if negotiations between parties do not provide a resolution before that date.
