NordicBet seals Swedish Hockey League sponsorship deal
Betsson brand named main sponsor and official betting partner of Sweden's top ice hockey division

Betsson’s NordicBet brand has secured a deal with the Swedish Hockey League (SHL) to become the ice hockey division’s main sponsor and official betting partner.
The operator has sponsored the Champions Hockey League (CHL) since 2014 and has now secured an exclusive partnership with the third highest ranked hockey league in the world.
The firm says the deal will provide customers with unique access to team and player content, real-time game stats and highlights, live streaming of all games, new products and bet offers.
NordicBet already offers a selection of hockey odds and markets covering the National Hockey League (NHL) and SHL, as well as the lower divisions across Scandinavia.
Jesper Svensson, chief commercial offier of NordicBet and Betsson Group (pictured right, alongside J?rgen Lindgren, CEO of the SHL) described the deal as a “big and important step” for the company.
“We are passionate about hockey and aim to offer the best hockey product in the Nordics,” said Svensson.
“The interest in hockey among our customers is massive and with the SHL sponsorship we wish to develop our hockey product and offer further as well as expose the NordicBet brand to millions of hockey fans across Europe,” he added.
“Being one of the leading sports betting companies in the Nordics we are also making a clear statement that we want to support hockey in our region. This deal has vast potential both for us and the SHL.”
J?rgen Lindgren, CEO of the SHL, said: “We have been searching for a betting partner with a broader focus and an objective to work with us to grow the appeal and reach of the league.”
