Novibet appoints Giannis Papastamou as head of customer compliance
New hire will take the lead in all compliance procedures with focus on AML
Online gaming operator Novibet has appointed Giannis Papastamou to the role of head of customer compliance with responsibility for providing strategic consulting on compliance issues throughout the organisation, with particular focus on anti-money laundering (ΑΜL) and responsible gambling.
Papastamou was previously employed in the customer due diligence department at bet365 and has an in-depth knowledge of the gaming industry’s strict regulations. He will take the lead in compliance procedures and guidance, balancing regulatory requirements, risk mitigation and business objectives.

Earlier in the month, Novibet announced it had recently donated more than £20,000 to independent UK-based gambling charity GambleAware.
Back in June, the company appointed Yannis Xirotyris as the operator’s new chief commercial officer from Flutter, where he served as the international development director from August 2020 until March 2021.
