Ocean Resort Casino to add FastFantasy games to sports portfolio
Operator follows Resorts Digital in partnership with Joe Brennan’s Sport AD start-up

The newly opened Ocean Resort Casino is partnering with SportAD to launch a suit of real-money fantasy sports products.
The so-called FastFantasy games ask customers to make player-related picks such as which player will score more fantasy points in a series of head-to-head matchups.
The format, labelled by some reviewers as ‘sports betting lite’, was first launched last year in New Jersey by Resorts Digital.
Adrianna Cuccinello, Ocean Resort’s executive director of internet gaming, said the operator was looking to lead the way in the online gaming space with a “continually expanding list of offerings”.
The FastFantasy format will be playable across Ocean Resort’s digital and mobile channels, and featured in the Atlantic City casino’s new sportsbook.
Joe Brennan Jr., SportAD CEO, said: “Given the excitement at the casino’s June 28 launch, the opportunity of regulated sports betting in New Jersey is outstanding.
“While states will use the next couple of years to hit critical mass with legal sports betting, we’re able in the meantime to create a large, highly-engaged base of players legally through our ability to bridge the betting and fantasy worlds, and build market share ahead of the competition for our partners.”
SportAD said FastFantasy saw an average bet of $24 per entry, and an average hold of 33% of all bets.
“The game’s natural retention has been excellent, with a 30-60-90-day average of 50%-35%-28% respectively, with less than 7% of deposits cashed out by players,” the firm said.
“In addition, FastPick has seen strong demand from a younger demographic of players; 28% are age 21 – 29 and 62% are age 21 – 39. 3 out of 4 FastPick players are under the age of 45.”
