Oddschecker pledges to reduce lag time after 18-month technology project
UK affiliate portal promises to update on-site bookmaker odds in 10 seconds or less

Oddschecker has pledged to update bookmaker odds less than 10 seconds after they change following an 18-month technology project to improve lag times.
Lag time was highlighted as an issue via feedback from site users as it often took minutes for Oddschecker to update when an operator partner changed the odds line on certain markets.
In an open letter to Oddschecker customers, MD Andy Towers laid out the changes, adding: “It may not always be clear that were listening and acting on this feedback, but we are.”
He added: “We’re really proud of what’s been achieved so far. It’s been tough, but I’m pleased to say that the majority of our partners are now updating within the 10 second target of what you would see on a bookmaker’s own app or website for horse racing, and the major football and tennis markets, and we’re working on the final few in the coming weeks.
“It’s also worth mentioning that we do occasionally experience problems because of limitations set by the bookmakers, but we’re working through these as best we can, too.
“This is the first – and probably biggest – step in transforming into a destination where customers can confidently compare prices and place bets without leaving our app or website,” he added.
Towers also revealed a brand update for Oddschecker, with the affiliate portal adopting a new mint-green colour scheme and refreshed tagline: ‘Your One Stop Betting Hub’.
Oddschecker international director Andy Lulham spoke to EGR Marketing last month about the firm’s acquisition of WhoScored.com.
