OpenBet integrates big data fraud-detection system
Featurespace-provided system reportedly detects 25-40% more fraud than current systems

OpenBet has integrated new anti-fraud technology into its platform thanks to a new partnership with analytics firm Featurespace.
The collaboration will see Featurespace’s ARIC engine implemented into OpenBet’s Activity Feeds, enabling licensees to have real-time access to player data and detect fraud risks more efficiently.
Featurespace, which entered the gaming industry through a partnership with Betfair in 2008, says its system uses machine learning and smart algorithms to detect risks, so that fewer genuine players have their transactions blocked and more frauds are detected.
OpenBet CEO Jeremy Thompson-Hill said: “We chose Featurespace because they offer the most advanced solution on the market. We’re always looking for the very best technology capability for our customers. Working with Featurespace accelerates the delivery of our next generation, real-time player management platform.”
One OpenBet licensee has already started using the Featurespace engine, which the company says can consistently detect around 25-40% more fraud than current systems while reducing false alerts by up to 70%.
Featurespace CEO Martina King, said: “We are proud to be partnering with OpenBet to deliver our ARIC engine and machine-learning products, which give operators a leading market edge.”
