Paddy Power's BetDash gets official launch
BetDash offers real-money and freeplay betting after enjoying successful beta phase.

Paddy Power has officially launched its social sports betting game BetDash after running in beta for more than a year.
The game allows users to play for free or real money and although BetDash includes social elements, it never makes public how much real money a player has staked. Users have the task of turning £100,000 in virtual currency into a virtual £1m within 10 days, with the chance to win an amount 25 times the size of the real-money stake.
BetDash’s social aspects include a live feed showing every bet a player has placed, as well as the chance to challenge or even ‘laugh at’ bets.
BetDash co-founder Justin Goldman said of the launch: “There have been many failed attempts at creating a successful social betting game. BetDash is bucking that trend by delivering a unique game design that enables punters to enjoy the thrill of sports betting in a low risk, incredibly engaging social gaming environment. Punters love BetDash because they can test betting strategies, try out new markets & even experiment in sports they’ve never bet on before. In short, BetDash enables punters to bet like they never have before.”
In August, Paddy Power managing director for online and technology Peter O’Donovan, told eGR that BetDash had taken three million bets while in beta and that he was confident it could operate as its own brand.
