Paf completes move into new €14.5m headquarters
Åland-based operator believes new sustainable HQ will improve collaboration between workers with its communal workspace

Paf has completed its move into a new €14.5m (£12.43m) sustainable HQ, designed to improve collaboration among the firm’s 200 employees.
Åland-based operator first set out plans to move into the new building back in 2013 and was designed by architects Hans Eek, Hans Murman and interior designer Bettina Ingves.
The company said the new building, located in Mariehamn, was inspired by its aim to become the “most responsible gaming company” in the world.
The facade and roof is covered with solar panels to ensure the head office is energy self-sufficient.
The interior sees workspaces separated by glass walls to increase visibility, while hovering above the central open office area is a large ball decorated by Åland artist Jonas Wilén, where workers are encouraged to discuss new ideas.
“The building is designed to suit the variety of forms of collaboration that we need in a complex organisation like ours,” Paf’s communications director, Anders Sims, said.
“This communal atmosphere is central to our work, as it is in all our operations and in Paf’s approach to our customers.”
Completion of the new HQ signalled a busy 2016 for the operator, which saw Christer Fahlstedt installed as the firm’s new CEO.
