
Pinnacle Cup Championship Finals to be staged in Swedish city of Lund
Esports event with $250,000 prize pot to be hosted by Curaçao-based bookmaker alongside GRID Esports

Betting operator Pinnacle has announced, in conjunction with data platform GRID Esports, that the culmination of the Pinnacle Cup Championship will be held in the Swedish city of Lund between 8 and 11 June 2022.
The Sparbanken Skåne Arena, which is primarily used as a venue for handball matches, will play host to the Counter Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO) event which is expected to attract up to 7,500 spectators over the course of four days’ play.
All three parties have partnered with creative esports group Black Molly Entertainment to bring the tournament, which has a prize fund of $250,000 (£189,356), to Lund.

The Pinnacle Cup Championship Finals will see eight teams, three of whom have already been invited, duking it out for a share of the fund. The three teams already invited are Heroic, Fnatic and Imperial. The remaining teams will be announced in the coming weeks.
GRID Esports and Pinnacle teamed up in 2019 to deliver the first iteration of the event, hosting it twice since.
