PlayCherry pens Yggdrasil distribution deal
Yggdrasil awaiting the completion of its Malta LGA licence application.

Malta-based Yggdrasil Gaming has signed a distribution agreement with PlayCherry to provide the Cherry Group subsidiary with its instant RNG lottery games.
Yggdrasil is currently in the process of applying for a Malta LGA licence, while PlayCherry was awarded its poker and casino licence in Schleswig-Holstein last month. However, Germany’s highest civil court is awaiting a ruling from the Court of Justice of the European Union on the compatibility of Schleswig Holstein’s egaming regime and the country’s E15 Interstate Gaming Treaty.
Marius Andersen, head of Cherry’s online gaming division, said of the deal: “Cherry has ambitious growth plans for the online business even more since the offload of the maritime business at the back-end of last year. This new lottery partnership is an extension of the successful online casino business and will be a great asset to us moving forward. We are always looking for new innovative partners who can provide us with games in order to increase acquisition and retention, boost traffic and sales, and Yggdrasil’s products are perfect for Cherry Online.”
In December, The Cherry AB-owned EuroSlots went live on Microgaming’s QuickFire platform, with the site replacing PlayCherry as the operator’s main egaming portal.
