Playtech heads the field in EGR B2B Awards shortlist
In what was a record year for entries, supplier giant secures 17 nominations with NetEnt and Microgaming also shortlisted for multiple categories

The shortlist for the 2017 EGR B2B Awards has been announced with supplier giant Playtech leading the way on 17 nominations, in what was a record-breaking year for Awards entries.
The three-time 2016 winner could be set for a greater haul this year as it goes up against the likes of Microgaming and NetEnt, which have been shortlisted for 10 and 12 awards respectively, at the glittering 6 June ceremony in London.
The Playtech-owned Quickspin has also been shortlisted in multiple categories, with the games developer to contend five categories at the Awards’ new Hurlingham Club venue.
NYX Gaming, which last year won the coveted Platform of the Year prize, finds itself shortlisted in eight categories, including four for its OpenBet subsidiary, while sportsbook specialists Kambi and SBTech are up for three awards apiece, including the much sought-after Sports Betting Supplier accolade.
Elsewhere, games supplier Yggdrasil will be looking to land at least one of the four prizes it has been nominated for but will face stiff competition from both industry heavyweights and relative newcomers, such as Red Tiger Gaming and ELK Studios.
And Red Tiger and ELK will also battle it out for the Software Rising Star award alongside the likes of Ganapati, Global Gaming, Habanero and Pragmatic Play.
