Playtech hires Kindred’s head of poker
David Pomroy joins the London-listed supplier later this month as head of poker product
Playtech has appointed Kindred Group’s head of poker, David Pomroy, as the London-listed supplier’s new head of poker product, EGR Intel can reveal.
Pomroy, who has been head of poker at Kindred since June 2017, will take up his new role at Playtech within the next few weeks.
He first joined Kindred in May 2014 as poker marketing manager, before becoming senior marketing strategy manager for bingo, poker and products, and then head of poker.
Prior to Kindred, Pomroy co-founded online poker staking site Bear Hug Poker and before that was head of operations at Black Belt Poker.
Playtech declined to comment on the appointment when contacted by EGR.
Last year, the company’s poker arm reported a 7% year-on-year rise in revenues to €9.4m.
According to Kindred’s careers page, the company is still in the process of hiring for Pomroy’s replacement.
