Playtech launches live version of 21+3 Blackjack
London-listed supplier says blackjack/poker combination will appeal to fans of both games

Playtech has launched a live version of 21+3 Blackjack, which combines the traditional casino game with a poker side bet.
The side bet is based on a player’s two cards and the dealer’s up-card. If the three combined cards form a straight, flush, three-of-a-kind, straight flush or suited three-of-a-kind, the player wins the side bet pay-out with enhanced odds.
“The 21+3 side bet is a great addition to the classic live casino Blackjack game and puts the excitement of poker into every hand,” Kevin Kilminster, Playtech’s head of live casino innovation, said.
“It will appeal both to those players who are familiar with either card game, as well as new customers who have never played Blackjack before, and we’re delighted to offer even more chances to win.”
Playtech has licensed 21+3 from Games Marketing, the exclusive online rights holder.
The London listed-provider reported a 19% rise in H1 casino revenues last week, driven by its growing Live portfolio, which also includes Blackjack, Poker, Hold’em, Baccarat and Hi-Lo.
In total, the company saw H1 revenues rise 18% to 337.7m.
Playtech’s share price was up 1.26% to 922.50p on the London Stock Exchange at the time of writing.
