Playtech launches Mobile Hub
Gala Coral becomes first operator to integrate open platform " other Playtech licensees to follow.
Playtech has announced the release of its Mobile Hub product, an open framework designed to integrate content on mobile devices.
Led by its mobile sportsbook subsidiary Mobenga, the Mobile Hub was developed to provide operators with an effective way to centralise and customise their entire mobile offering, Playtech said in a statement.
Bookmaker Gala Coral has already become the first operator to launch Mobile Hub with its new mobile offering and will soon be followed by Playtech’s other top licensees.
Built on HTML5 technology, the product allows operators to integrate Playtech’s or third party content onto their branded mobile platform, enabling them to choose exactly what to offer its player base.
Christian Rajter, CEO and founder of Mobenga, said of the launch: “We are very proud of our accomplishments with the Mobile Hub and thrilled to see Gala Coral operating it to run their new mobile offering. By combining Mobenga’s proven leadership in mobile technology with Playtech’s strength in player management systems, we were able to achieve an extremely efficient tool, using the advantages of Playtech’s strong back office to deliver the best mobile platform for operators via the Mobile Hub.”
Playtech’s launched its mobile bingo product in August, with its Virtue Fusion bingo software made available on Android OS smart phones and offers 90, 80 and 70 five ball games alongside Deal or No Deal Bingo. Paddy Power became the first operator to launch the mobile bingo app.
In the same month Playtech chief executive Mor Weizer lauded the company’s acquisition of Mobenga for up to 23.8m in July 2011 as key to software provider’s mobile gaming development.
He said at the time: “In mobile, the industry went back in time with what it offers, and what operators offer to customers,” adding “Until recently, most companies had different apps for casino, poker, betting, and so on, and were bringing players through without converting them into gaming.”
