PLAYTECH IS ready to roll out a stand-alone poker network in France when that market is regulated next year, chief executive Mor Weizer has told EGRmagazine.com.
Weizer said that Playtech will execute a similar strategy to the one employed in Italy where it built Italian-only liquidity quickly by supplying major Italian operators such as Snai and Sisal.
He would not confirm how many partners would be included but said Playtech “would make sure the agreements would work in a balanced way between all the licensees to ensure their success”
PartyGaming chief executive Jim Ryan last week also expressed PartyGaming’s intention to launch Party Poker in France next year when egaming regulation was enacted.
Playtech’s half-year results were published yesterday showing earnings before interest tax depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) up more than a third, which Weizer said demonstrated the strength of Playtech’s strategy.
