Playyoo to provide mobile slots for Lottomatica
Probability subsidiary announces contract with Italian market leader for dot.it slots market.

Probability subsidiary Playyoo will provide mobile slots content for Italian operator Lottomatica, following an announcement from the AIM-listed mobile business this morning.
The two-year non-exclusive agreement will see slots released under the Vegas Club brand, owned by the operator’s Lottomatica Italia Scommesse subsidiary.
Playyoo, which was acquired by Probability last July, has extended its existing agreements with Italian operators such as Snai and Neomobile to encompass the Italian slots market following the issue of the first authorisations in December.
At present the launch will feature existing Probability content for Apple, Android and Blackberry smartphones and tablets, however Lottomatica retains the option to commission new content from its partner while Probability explained in a statement that “[Its] proprietary technology will be used to ensure continued compatibility with new devices entering the market.”
According to data published by regulatory body AAMS in October last year, Lottomatica was the market leader for sports betting in Italy in July and August 2012 (with a market share of more than 18%) and casino table games (more than 21%), while trailing only bwin Italia and PokerStars for bingo and poker respectively. Data on the first month of slots activity is yet to be released.
Probability CEO Charles Cohen expressed his “delight” at the deal, adding: “Now that slots are permitted in Italy, all the major operators realise the need to establish their brands urgently with mobile customers and offer as wide a range of games as possible on the widest choice of devices.”
