PointsBet recruits Drew Brees as brand ambassador
NFL legend and NBC Sports pundit joins sportsbook operator in multi-year deal and takes up equity stake in the business

PointsBet has recruited ex-NFL superstar Drew Brees as its latest global brand ambassador.
The NFL veteran, who has recently transitioned to becoming a pundit for NBC Sports, has signed a multi-year deal with the sportsbook operator.
Brees also took an equity stake in the business as part of the agreement.
In his new role as global brand ambassador, Brees will both star in and help develop original content for PointsBet, lead watch parties, and steer marketing and promotional concepts.
PointsBet USA CEO Johnny Aitken hailed the recruitment of Brees as a “massive” day for the Australian-headquartered sports betting firm.
“Drew is renowned for his tireless work ethic and achieved great success in his career regardless of the obstacles in front of him, possessing the scrappy, well-prepared challenger, win-at-all-costs mentality that embodies PointsBet’s DNA,” Aitken explained.
“We look forward to collaborating for years to come and integrating Drew across our portfolio to complement PointsBet’s market-leading technology infrastructure and strategic approach to the competitive sports betting space,” he added.
Brees joins women’s golfer and Instagram personality Paige Spiranac, who became a brand ambassador for PointsBet in January, spearheading a major investment in golf-based betting by the firm.
Speaking about his new role, Brees said: “I am excited to team up with PointsBet, a leader in the future of sports entertainment built off elite technology.
“Sports betting is growing across the country and will positively impact sports engagement, and I am proud to be at the forefront alongside PointsBet and NBC Sports,” he added.
PointsBet currently serves as the exclusive sports betting partner for Brees’ new employer NBC Sports.
Under the agreement, NBC Sports provides PointsBet with year-round, multi-platform media and marketing opportunities across its portfolio of events, including multi-platform gameday integrations across NBC Sports Regional Networks.
