Poker Lounge filming cancelled indefinitely
Decision taken after Full Tilt fails to honour payments for its sponsored television show.
Producers of The Poker Lounge, the Full Tilt-sponsored television show, have abandoned plans to resume filming after the indicted operator failed to honour its payments.
The show, produced by Presentable Productions, initially ceased filming in the immediate aftermath of Black Friday, but had planned to return to the studio on 22 July after an agreement was reached with the company. However, a spokeswoman for the Zodiak Media Group “ to which Presentable belongs “ confirmed to eGaming Review today that it had “stopped recording that show.”
While it was thought the decision might have been taken in response to the decision of the Alderney Gambling Control Commission to suspend Full Tilt’s licences in the jurisdiction, the spokeswoman revealed a non-payment of funds prompted the decision.
“We did not receive the funds we were expecting to receive from them, so we could not make [the show],” she explained, adding that “I would say it is unlikely to go back on air.” She was unable to provide details regarding the amount of money Full Tilt owed to the production company.
Three episodes of The Poker Lounge were recorded in April, but these are now not expected to be broadcast, while the spokeswoman also revealed that “nothing else is in production which has been affected.”
Presentable Productions has also previously produced Late Night Poker, another Full Tilt-sponsored show.
