PokerStars debuts new app to UK players
Next-generation mobile app now available on iOS following rollouts in Denmark, Romania and Pennsylvania

PokerStars has launched a new-and-improved version of its mobile gaming app to UK players across iOS and Android.
The poker heavyweight revealed the release followed successful rollouts of the upgrade in Denmark, Romania and Pennsylvania.
The first version of the app was launched on iOS to Danish players back in February 2019.

The latest iteration of the product combines learnings from the prior launch of the app into other markets, as well as player feedback.
Improvements have been made around navigation, adding back-to-lobby functionality, tournament text search, dynamic filters and improved game information.
The upgrade aims to provide a simplified and more convenient experience for both new and experienced players.
Further upgrades are set to be unveiled over the next few months based on consumer feedback.
PokerStars is now owned by Flutter Entertainment following its multi-billion-pound merger with The Stars Group (TSG).
Following the release of Flutter’s H1 2020 results, group CEO Peter Jackson revealed the operator would invest substantially in improving the PokerStars brand.
He said: “There are areas we need to invest in, product, tech and other capabilities.
“PokerStars suffered from a lack of investment at TSG as they were previously focused on Sky Bet, BetEasy and Fox Bet and so had to make difficult choices on deploying capital, whereas we can invest in all opportunities but it might take a while.”
