PokerStars to launch in Switzerland
Swiss consumers to access PokerStars product from July as operator signs online partnership deal with Casino777

PokerStars will go live to Swiss players for the very first time from July.
The Flutter-owned operator has struck an exclusive distribution deal with Casino777.ch, the online casino of Switzerland’s Casino Davos.
Swiss poker players will soon be able to take part in all of the major international poker tournaments run by PokerStars and compete against other poker fans around the world.
The PokerStars product will be available via the casino’s Swiss homepage, with a www.pokerstars.ch domain to be activated shortly, where a client can be downloaded.
Initially, the client will only be available on desktop computer and Android devices.
Apple is reportedly waiting to see if the product launch is successful before unlocking access to iOS and the App Store.
The launch marks the result of months of lobbying by Casino777.ch chief gaming officer Robert Kocher, who made the launch of PokerStars a priority since taking over the role in February.
Kocher worked closely with the country’s supervisory authority and Federal Gaming Board over a number of weeks to carry out operational tests on the new software.
Swiss PokerStars players will need to log in and deposit via their Casino777 accounts, which is where prize money will also be sent.
