PokerStars awarded Maltese licence
Isle of Man-based operator prepares to launch dot.eu site.

PokerStars is preparing to launch a dot.eu site after being awarded an egaming licence by Malta’s Lotteries and Gaming Authority.
Eric Hollreiser, head of corporate communications at Stars, made the announcement on the company’s corporate blog saying the development would “[Give] us the ability to provide enhanced service to players in several European markets.”
The operator already holds a primary licence on the Isle of Man, as well as licences in France and Italy, while it revealed earlier this week that its Belgian operations had been given regulatory approval.
Other operators to hold a Maltese licence include eGaming Review Power 50 members Betclic Everest, Betfair and Mr Green.
