PokerStars moves Dutch players to dot.eu
Sixth country now served under operator's Malta licence, while players are required to download different mobile client.

PokerStars has moved Dutch players over to its dot.eu client where they will join those from Finland, Poland, Romania, Slovenia and Sweden.
The move took place yesterday with the Dutch-language Pokernews mini-site reporting that players using the mobile client have been required to delete their existing version and download the dot.eu variant. However, player pools remain shared with the dot.com site so there is no change in terms of liquidity.
It is currently unclear whether the regulatory status of the Dutch market influenced the decision. In February the Dutch Supreme Court ordered operators to block Netherlands-based players from accessing their sites, one year after the country suggested it would consider issuing egaming licences.
PokerStars launched its dot.eu site in February this year after being awarded a licence from the Maltese Lotteries and Gaming Authority (LGA) to complement its primary Isle of Man accreditation.
The real-money PokerStars.eu mobile client was rolled out in late April, after similar launches in the UK, France and Italy.
