Probability hires former William Hill head of mobile
Michael Byrne joins company as chief commercial officer from mobile casino Bet and Move

Mobile operator Probability has announced the appointment of former William Hill head of mobile Michael Byrne to the newly created role of chief commercial officer.
Byrne will join the company in November from Bet and Move, a mobile casino he launched on the Probability mobile platform after he left William Hill in January 2012, which will now be managed by his business partners.
In his new role, Byrne will be responsible for driving Probability’s B2C and white label revenues in the UK market, in addition to assuming control of its customer marketing and retention for the Probability brand and white label partners in the UK. Byrne will also oversee the development of Probability’s affiliate network.
“He comes to us with an unrivalled depth of knowledge and expertise in mobile gaming,” CEO Charles Cohen said. “He has proven his expertise in both acquisition and customer retention, as well as demonstrating a real feeling for the customer and the product.”
Byrne worked as head of mobile at William Hill Online for two years from 2010 to 2012 where he led the expansion and revenue growth of the operator’s mobile business for gaming and sportsbook. He previously served as manager of mobile products and marketing at William Hill Online from 2008 for the Playtech-powered mobile casino product in Israel.
“I have long been impressed with the Probability offering, starting from my days with William Hill when we signed them up as a content provider,” Byrne said. “This new role is a fantastic opportunity to turn a world class mobile platform into a true market leader in both B2C and B2B.”
Byrne will also be appointed a director of Probability (Gibraltar) Limited, a subsidiary of Probability plc which manages the company’s Gibraltar and Italian gambling licences.
