Purple Lounge to leave Microgaming network
MediaCorp-owned poker room moving to Entraction.

Media Corporation has announced it will move its poker offering from Microgaming to the Entraction poker network.
According to an email to players seen by the Two Plus Two poker community, the move will take place on 16 January, with Purple Lounge joining sites such as Victor Chandler and RedBet on the IGT-owned network.
However Gibraltar-based operator Victor Chandler introduced a secondary poker offering on the Microgaming network late last year, following the move from Entraction to introduce IP bans on players from selected grey or black markets.
The news comes two months after another Microgaming licensee, 24 Poker, saw its licence suspended by the Kahnawake Gaming Commission.
Purple Lounge recorded year-on-year revenue growth of 29% for the year ended 30 September 2011, helping parent company MediaCorp to a revenue growth of 46% for the period.
Microgaming introduced a network management board in October to review the way in which its network operates at regular monthly meetings, and a number of ‘skins’ have been removed from the network since. Head of network games Lydia Melton wrote a column on the management board, which appears in January’s issue of eGaming Review.
