Q&A: Ben Starr, Jumpman Gaming

eGR Digital Marketing talks to Starr about the launch of the company’s new network and why bingo affiliates are making the switch into B2C
Q: Why did you decide to launch the Wheel of Slots Network (WSN)?
A: The UK market is saturated with extremely similar offers, but that doesnât mean it has to be over. Thereâs perhaps the worldâs largest pool of online bingo players and we wanted to offer something different. Weâve launched with a unique welcome offer and although itâs the same bingo and games, weâve tried to add a fresh twist to it and move with the times. WSN takes the wheel to another level.
Q: Why did you partner with your Income Access for its affiliate programme?
A: Weâve been around for three years now and weâve had an internal affiliate programme from day one. But we decided to partner with Income Access for two reasons. First, weâre focused on development that hasnât been done already, like WSN. Affiliate software has been done before by many companies, in particular market leader Income Access. Second, we wanted a multi-brand programme because we are primarily a B2B company. However, we do have six B2C brands and we thought weâd create a combined affliate programme so you can promote them all in one place. We donât want to try and reinvent something which has already been done very successfully.
Q: How is your 15 Network performing?
A: Itâs growing month-on-month and weâre adding new partners all the time. Itâs still very much a focus
and weâre not putting it to bed or downsizing the product. However, WSN brings two acquisition offers to the market, so weâre trying to take two bites of the cherry. 15 Networkâs acquisition offer is fairly standard with a 200% bonus with bonus cash and we can offer additional incentives.
Q: Do you think we’ll see more bingo affiliates make the switch to B2C?
A: Jumpman Gaming doesnât really have any involvement in the affiliate side. But generally, if youâre a committed affiliate and you know the business, it can make sense to look into a white label so that you can send traffic to your own product and collect some data. However, itâs only worthwhile if youâre going to act on that data. We felt we could do more with it than other people and now weâre very focused on providing a retention scheme for our partners based on those learnings. Itâs not a jump everyone should make and itâs certainly more stressful but weâre enjoying it.
