Rank Group taps TransUnion for player protection and fraud prevention tools
Operator’s digital arm to benefit from improved data insights

Rank Digital Gaming has sealed a partnership with data insight provider TransUnion to enhance its fraud prevention and player protection frameworks.
The operator will adopt TransUnion’s Affordability Solution for Gaming, which entails several tools to protect players from gambling-related harm.
The solutions draw on financial data, as well as socio-demographic and property data, to identify potentially harmful behaviours.
Rank will also be afforded access to TransUnion’s fraud prevention services, which analyses device history to cross-check against a global network of confirmed fraud reports.
Rory Howard, Rank group director of payments and customer diligence, said: “Supporting responsible gaming is a priority for us and TransUnion’s affordability solution will provide us with detailed insights to inform our decision-making.
“TransUnion’s device intelligence tools can help us keep our customers, and our business, safe by helping us to spot transaction and device patterns that indicate fraud, and to accurately recognise a device while minimising false positives,” he added.
Adam Hancox, TransUnion head of UK and Europe gaming, added: “We’re really excited to be working with Rank – which operates all of Rank Group’s online casino and bingo brands – to support them in their continued drive to ensure player safety and fraud prevention.”
