Rank Interactive completes tech shift to Stride Gaming platform
Move to in-house tech stack completes as operator realises ambition three years after purchasing firm

Rank Interactive has completed the final stage of its migration of the online Grosvenor business onto its proprietary tech platform Stride Gaming.
The final stage of the transition marks a significant moment in Rank’s history following its acquisition of Stride Gaming.
Key improvements to the product via the in-house tech stack include building a seamless journey for customers playing across retail and online with a single wallet and account, according to Rank.
Product activations around sports, slots and jackpots are also planned, along with enhanced free-to-play games.
Rank completed its first brand migration onto the Stride platform in November 2020 with Bella Casino.
Rank’s online division had previously been powered by Bede Gaming but the shift to in-house tech stack began with the £115m acquisition of Stride Gaming in October 2019.
At the time, Rank Group CEO John O’Reilly said the acquisition of Stride would “accelerate the transformation of Rank and create one of the UK’s leading online gaming businesses”.
Jon Martin, Rank Interactive MD, said the transition was completed without comprehending customer experience and was looking forward to delivering future tech projects.
Martin said: “The migration onto our proprietary platform marks a significant landmark on our journey towards delivering a seamless cross channel experience for our customers.
“It was a huge piece of work requiring over 400 team members working across five continents, and I am delighted that the team were able to complete it on time and without inconveniencing our customers.
“It brings to an end our timetable of group-wide migrations onto the Stride platforms which now, in turn, frees up valuable capacity to deliver a host of innovative customer-oriented improvements,” he added.
