Rank pledges “fairer” experience with Best Odds Bingo
Mecca says the new offering presents players with unbiased opportunity to win with only 25 players in each room

Rank’s Mecca Bingo has released a new Best Odds Bingo (BOB) product that it claims “completely redefines the mechanics of an online bingo game”.
The aim of the offering is to equalise every player’s odds of winning for a “fairer” bingo experience. A Mecca statement said each room allows a maximum of 25 players and every player has the same amount of tickets so no one has an unfair advantage.
The game’s branding features the hand of BOB, which is meant to represent the house being the player’s side. A new ad announcing the launch followed Mecca’s recent Maccarena campaign theme.
James Boord, head of bingo for meccabingo.com, said: “BOB is a real innovation for Mecca, born from broad customer feedback and bringing the format back to focus on fun, fairness and winning.
“Everything has been carefully developed with player entertainment in mind. The game is designed to be simple, user friendly and fun,” Boord added.
A Mecca statement said the game had “completely redefined the mechanics of an online bingo game”.
Speaking after Rank’s FY17/18 results in August, CEO John O’Reilly told EGR: “It’s been researched really well and we’re excited about the prospect of it. It deals with some of the concerns customers have about their ability to win.”
