Rank expands casino offering with NetEnt deal
Operator looks to bolster recent Grosvenor Casino growth and revitalise Mecca Bingo

Rank Group has agreed a deal to integrate NetEnt online casino games across its Grosvenor Casino and Mecca Bingo sites.
The move sees NetEnt become one of the first third-party suppliers to be added on to Rank’s new Bede gaming platform, following the migration from OpenBet in March.
“We are thrilled to be adding NetEnt’s award-winning game content to our Grosvenor and Mecca online brands,” said Ciara Nic Liam, head of casino and games at Rank Digital.
“NetEnt has a proven track record in the UK market and we look forward to extending our offering with games from its portfolio that we know will resonate well with our players.”
Last month Rank Group posted a 6% rise in revenues for the 19-week period to 8 May after strong growth from its Grosvenor Casinos brand more than compensated for a slight dip in its Mecca product.
Grosvenor recorded a 35% increase in like-for-like revenues during the period, a performance it attributed to on-going customer growth and improved functionality delivered by the platform switch.
However, while Grosvenor felt an immediate benefit from the migration, the firm said Mecca’s 5% revenue drop came as a result of “disruption” caused by the switch, which EGR understands was related to increased complexity with third-party integrations.
NetEnt Malta MD Enrico Bradamante said the new partnership with Rank would drive growth for the Swedish supplier in the “important UK market”.
“I am confident that we can support Rank in growing its digital business and that our award-winning games will be much appreciated by Rank’s customers,” Bradamante added.
