
RAY enjoys double-digit casino growth
Finish monopoly operator's redesigned website and new mobile app helps boost business

Finish operator RAY saw its digital casino margin soar 13.8% during the first half of the year, growth the company attributed to new products and an improved user experience.
During the quarter, the number of active customers grew by 16.3%, while its mobile channel performed strongly too with year-on-year margin growth of 95%.
The operator redesigned its website at the beginning of the year, and released a new mobile app during the summer.
“We have maintained a very fast rate of introducing new games across all of our digital channels and we have continued to build a service portfolio that is more entertaining and exciting in every way,” Jan Hagelberg, RAY’s vice president of digital channels, said.
“Our strategy, the decisions behind our growth and our operational measures have all been based on data and our insight into our players’ wishes and behaviour.
“As a result of our efforts, our service has received excellent customer feedback and a growing number of Finns are now using RAY’s digital gaming products.”
From 1 January 2017, the operator along with Veikkaus Oy and Fintoto will merge as Veikkaus, Finland’s newly-created state-owned monopoly giant.
