Rivalry awarded Australia and Ontario licences
Esports-first bookmaker to enter its first fully regulated market following approval from the Northern Territory Racing Commission

Esports betting operator Rivalry has been awarded a sports betting licence in Australia as it looks to expand its global footprint.
Rivalry has had its sports bookmaker licence approved by the Northern Territory Racing Commission (NTRC) which, in accordance with the Racing and Betting Act 1983, allows the operator to provide its services throughout Australia.
The awarding of this licence marks Rivalry’s first steps in a fully regulated market.
The firm confirmed on 4 February that it had secured a licence to become one of the first operators to go live in Ontario when the market opens on 4 April.
Rivalry has held an Isle of Man licence since 2018 and has operated in several international markets off the back of it.
Rivalry said it will launch its Australian product in the coming weeks and praised the strong gambling and esports culture in the nation ahead of its debut.
Steven Salz, Rivalry CEO, said: “Expansion into regulated markets across the globe is a key part of our growth strategy, and we couldn’t be more thrilled to officially receive our licence for Australia.
“We believe the country’s sport and gaming culture is a great fit for our brand and look forward to connecting with existing fans of Rivalry and creating many new ones.
“The approval of the NTRC also demonstrates that we are capable of meeting what are undoubtedly some of the world’s highest regulatory standards,” he added.
