Ladbrokes is to reduce the number of tailored language sites it offers to focus on 13 tailored sites in nine different languages. From 1 February 2011 Ladbrokes.com will no longer offer a tailored service in Bulgarian, Croatian, Czech, Finnish, Hungarian, Norwegian, Portuguese, Romanian, Russian, Slovakian and Slovenian. Gary McIlraith, Ladbrokes’ managing director of digital channels, international and strategy said: “This is about focusing and strengthening our online resources to where we can operate efficiently and ensure durable scale.”
Intralot‘s revenues rose 33.4% in the last quarter compared to the same period last year, reaching 256.8m, but net profit fell 25.8% year-on-year to 11.7m, “mainly due to higher depreciation charges and a higher tax rate”, it said in a company statement today. In the previous quarter, Intralot began new projects in the US, Morocco and Brazil, said CEO Constantinos Antonopoulos. Intralot has also been granted a sports betting license in France and plans to apply for horse betting and poker licenses “soon”, the company added.
Finnish state operator RAY has today launched its online gaming site, powered by Playtech. More than 150 games are available, encompassing both slots and casino table games.
RouletteCricket has launched its first real-money game using OpenBet‘s remote gaming interface that allows operators to choose games from whichever supplier they wish and integrate them within the software. The in-play game is available both online and for mobile.
