Rush Street Interactive launches Mexico sportsbook and online casino
CEO Richard Schwartz hails potential of partnership with Grupo Multimedios in Latam market push

Rush Street Interactive (RSI) has confirmed the launch of its RushBet online casino and sportsbook in the Mexican market.
It follows the signing of a 25-year partnership agreement between RSI and Grupo Multimedios which holds a license to operate online gaming in Mexico.
Under the terms of the deal, first inked in January, RSI has access to Grupo Multimedios’ media assets and distribution channels for promotional and content integration purposes.
RSI CEO Richard Schwartz welcomed the debut of the RushBet brand in the Mexican market.
“Grupo Multimedios is one of the most respected media enterprises in Mexico, making them a great partner for us to launch and accelerate our online gaming operations in the country,” Schwartz explained.
“Mexico represents an attractive market opportunity, with a population of more than 130 million.
“When combined with Colombia’s population of 50 million, this new market greatly expands RSI’s offering in Latin America,” he added.
RSI already has operations in the Colombian market through its RushBet subsidiary.
Headquartered in Monterrey, Grupo Multimedios owns multiple sports teams including Sultanes de Monterrey, one of the most prestigious baseball teams in the Mexican League, as well as two professional basketball teams.
The company’s portfolio of media assets encompasses television, radio, print, billboards, and digital, and includes Mediotiempo, a digital sports property attracting more than seven million unique users per month, Milenio and Canal 6, its network of 22 television stations, and 63 radio stations.
The firm’s real estate, retail, and food interests include hundreds of properties, stores, and restaurants across Mexico.
Grupo Multimedios co-CEO Angel Cong noted the landmark implications of the deal and RSI’s status as the first major US-based online operator to expand into the Mexican market.
“RSI has proven to be successful in the North American and Colombian online casino and sportsbook markets, and together we will leverage our media assets to achieve the same in Mexico,” Cong said.
“Our goal is to work with RSI to create the best and most trusted online casino and sports betting experience in the Mexican market,” he added.
