Sandeep Tiku to depart Entain for sports streaming platform DAZN
Tech veteran reunited with former boss Shay Segev as DAZN looks to transition into an interactive sports entertainment hub

Sandeep Tiku is set to exit Entain after two years as COO to become the new CTO of live sports streaming service DAZN.
Tiku will head up development of DAZN’s OTT sports media platform as the firm aims to be more interactive for its players through a combination of betting, gaming and e-commerce.
Tiku was promoted to COO by Segev when he took over as CEO of Entain in July 2020. Segev spent just six months in the Entain hot seat before departing for DAZN.
The hire of Tiku comes just six months after DAZN launched a new innovation hub called DAZN X, which aims to add more interactivity and engagement for users on the platform.
Tiku joins another former Entain exec, Ian Turnbull, at DAZN who was hired as EVP of betting and gaming in September 2021.
Meanwhile, Segev was made sole CEO of DAZN in January after originally joining the company as co-CEO alongside DAZN founder James Rushton.
On Tiku’s appointment, Segev said: “Having worked alongside Sandeep for many years at Entain, I know that he is an exceptional and visionary technologist and the right person to lead DAZN’s technology teams.
“He will be invaluable as we expand our offering with even more ways to entertain and engage sports fans and forge ahead with transforming the global sports market.”
Tiku commented: “To join a company like DAZN that has boundless ambitions and puts the customer at the heart of everything it does is fantastic. With their vision and my tech experience, the potential is phenomenal.
“I look forward to working with Shay and the global technology teams to grow DAZN’s platform as a true destination for sports fans across the world,” he added.
