SBOBET joins Microgaming poker network
Asia-focused operator goes live on the egaming supplier's MPN but is currently only available to players in Indonesia
Microgaming has unveiled Asia-facing online giant SBOBET as the latest signing to its growing MPN poker network, with the deal coming barely a month after adding Georgian operator Adjarabet.
The offering, branded SBOBETpoker.com and currently only available to players in Indonesia, joins the likes of BetVictor, Betway, PAF, 32Red, Betsson and Stan James already live on MPN.
SBOBETpoker.com is available on desktop and mobile, becoming the seventh operator to launch with Microgaming’s HTML5 mobile poker product.
“SBOBET are a huge operator in the online gaming industry; naturally we are thrilled to be adding such a well-known name to the MPN,” Microgaming head of poker Alex Scott, said.
“Our poker network has undergone a series of new and exciting changes in the last year and the hard work is definitely paying off as we see new operators joining the network,” he added.
The launch comes a little over a month after Microgaming signed-up Georgia-based Adjarabet as the first customer to utilise its new Babelfish API.
Babelfish enables operators to develop a customisable online poker client on the egaming supplier’s MPN, giving them access to the network’s cash games and tournament liquidity pools.
The new signings represent a significant turnaround for the business following a number of notable departures in recent years, with Ladbrokes joining the Playtech-powered iPoker network and Unibet leaving to launch a Relax Gaming-powered standalone poker product.
