SBTech boosts in-play product with Action Betting feature
New product suggests wagers to players based on in-game events

SBTech has developed a new in-play function which dynamically suggests markets to punters following key moments in the game.
The so-called Action Betting feature sends instant notifications around incidents like free kicks or red cards, and displays relevant markets on-screen, enabling players to ‘quickbet’ on outcomes directly from the widget.
For instance Real Madrid gets a corner, triggering the feature. The ‘Over/Under Corners’ market with available selections and odds is displayed on-screen, and a player can click and add to their bet slip.
SBTech chief product officer Ian Bradley said the product reflected the provider’s increased investment in personalisation.
“The constant drive to create more markets is not going to stop, and given the challenges that brings, our aim is to enhance the UX, ensuring players don’t have to scroll and search for markets,” Bradley said.
“Instead, we offer them suggestions whenever a significant incident occurs, presenting them with a relevant market in the context of the alert. The launch of Action Betting is part of our strategy of continuously improving the mobile betting experience and is just a taste of what we have in store for our partners in 2018.”
Action Betting is set to go live with partners later this month, and is the latest improvement to the provider’s live betting product after it launched cash-out feature Add2Bet in late October.
