Senet Group plots major TV campaign
Self-regulatory body, established last month by a quartet of UK bookies, to appoint creative agency ahead of advertising drive in January
The Senet Group is set to launch a “major” television campaign in January next year and has shortlisted three creative agencies to design and organise its advertising push.
The self-regulatory body, established by Ladbrokes, Coral, William Hill and Paddy Power last month, has shortlisted London-based Karmarama, Grey London and The Corner to run the campaign with a decision expected before the end of the year.
Following the appointment, a “major” advertising campaign is to be launched early next year which will incorporate adverts on national television as well as other media, however details have yet to be confirmed.
A spokesperson for The Senet Group informed eGaming Review this morning that workshops with the three agencies were held earlier this week prior to final pitches, which are to be presented at the end of the month.
“A number of good ideas were put forward and we’re excited ahead of the campaign’s launch,” the spokesperson added.
A national campaign to promote responsible gambling was one of a number of initiatives outlined by the four bookmakers when they announced the formation of the body last month, which also included a self-imposed ban on a number of advertising practices.
The news comes a day after The Senet Group confirmed that it had appointed Dame Janet Gaymer and executive head hunter GatenbySanderson to oversee its recruitment of an independent standards commissioner with an appointment expected before the end of the year.
