Shuffle Master in Nevada licence application
Announcement follows recent deals with OpenBet and Chartwell and recruitment of new CSO.

Gaming machines supplier Shuffle Master has become the latest applicant for a Nevada internet poker licence.
According to poker magazine Card Player, the Las Vegas-based company has submitted an application for a service provider licence ahead of the state’s assessment of potential licensees next year.
Nevada Gaming Control Board chairman Mark Lipparelli revealed last month that authorities in the Silver State could begin assessing applications as soon as February, despite May’s regulations being unenforceable without the passage of federal regulation.
The application follows Shuffle Master’s online deal with OpenBet “ signed in October “ which permits the software supplier to offer Shuffle Master’s premium content to Canadian licensees Loto-Québec and the British Columbia Lottery Corporation.
Earlier that month the company expanded its deal with Chartwell to allow the Amaya subsidiary to offer table games such as three-card poker to its UK licensees.
Shuffle Master recently recruited former Zynga VP of studios Lou Castle as chief strategy officer, while chief executive Gavin Isaacs was elected to the board of the American Gaming Association in September.
A number of other major players in the egaming industry have begun to pursue a Nevada licence, with Paddy Power believed to be among the first applicants.
