SIS taps Phenix for low-latency streaming technology
Supplier partners with Chicago-based firm to deliver ultra-fast streams with minimal delays

SIS has sealed a new partnership with video solutions provider Phenix to optimise its live streaming service.
The agreement will see SIS Stream deliver sub-half second latency on its live streaming products by tapping into Phenix’s real-time communications and proprietary, patent-pending technology.
The addition of Phenix’s technology to the SIS product will reportedly mean SIS-affiliated operators afforded ultra-fast streams with minimal delays.
Paul Witten, SIS product director, noted the importance of reducing latency in its sports streaming product.
Witten said: “It’s crucial that we minimise the latency of live events to a bettor’s screen as much as possible in order to optimise their betting experience.
“Partnering with Phenix is key in helping us deliver real-time streaming to our operator partners, and further demonstrates our reputation for providing top quality live pictures to operators globally,” he added.
Phenix CEO Roy Reichbach said the new deal will improve both user experience and operators’ revenue streams.
Reichbach continued: “SIS’ vision and openness to innovation will enhance their offer to bookmakers, providing them with real-time streaming and synchronised playback. The combined solution provides punters with an improved betting experience and increased operator revenues.”
