Sisal crowned Operator of the Year at EGR Italy Virtual Awards 2020
Italian betting giant nets hat-trick of awards as Betsson Group triumphs in five categories
Sisal was crowned operator of the year at this week’s EGR Italy Virtual Awards 2020.
The Italian behemoth fought off stiff competition from LeoVegas in the headline category to enjoy an excellent evening as it also won coveted awards for sports betting operator and mobile operator.
Our 12 judges said Sisal had shown strong growth over the period in all verticals and was the leading operator in the Italian market thanks to a strong multichannel offering across mobile and retail.
Betsson Group also stole the show by winning best customer services operator and in-house product innovation, while its StarCasinò brand earned gongs for best casino operator, best marketing campaign and most socially responsible operator.
Microgaming also picked up two trophies for best software supplier and best casino platform supplier.
The winners were announced in a virtual awards ceremony hosted by Formula One legend Giancarlo Fisichella, which took place immediately after the EGR Italy Briefing.
The online-only event was held on 27 October and would not have been possible without sponsors Altenar, Aresway, Betgenius, Evolution, Scientific Games, SkillPower and Yggdrasil.
