SKS365 opens new Rome office as Italy emerges from lockdown
Malta-headquartered sports betting operator debuts 13,000 square-foot office in Italian capital

SKS365 has opened a new 13,000 sq ft office in Rome as the business looks to bounce back following the Covid-19 lockdown.
The group’s new office will play host to 55 employees working on the group’s Italy-facing operations from the Italian capital.

SKS365 CEO Alexander Martin described the move as a welcome boost for the firm after so much Covid-19 uncertainty.
“The new office improves our employee experience by a modern, collaborative, creative and team-oriented design and layout,” said Martin.

Returning employees will be required to wear face masks
As part of coronavirus mitigation measures, hand sanitiser stations have been installed in the new office, while all returning employees will be required to wear face masks.
SKS365 group HR director for Italy Marilena Colli told EGR the office move was part of a company-wide focus on innovation in all areas.
“The new workplace is almost twice the size of the previous one, it has a way bigger break area and with all the employees sharing an open space working environment which fully represents SKS365 as a young and dynamic company,” said Colli.
“With this move, we wanted to offer our people a modern office in order to encourage cross-functional collaboration, to promote creativity and innovation and strengthen the accessibility of interactions at all levels.
“In addition, we paid particular attention to the sustainability factor. We are proud to be in the only building in Rome who has the LEED Platinum certification, the most widely used green building rating system in the world and a globally recognised symbol of sustainability achievement and leadership,” Colli added.
The Italian sports betting market resumed last weekend with the Coppa Italia semi-final. Serie A fixtures will begin again this weekend after a three-month absence.
Earlier this week, SKS365 confirmed the reopening of 1,000 retail betting shops across Italy following the relaxation of Covid-19 lockdown restrictions.
In order to reopen, all shops were provided with a reopening safety kit, with strict social distancing measures being enforced across all premises.
To coincide with the reopening, the firm has also made several product enhancements, including a new self-service bet booking system.
