Sky Betting & Gaming CRM chief exits after eight years
Commercial and VIP management specialist Gary Wilson pivots to financial services sector

Sky Betting & Gaming (SBG) head of CRM Gary Wilson has left the business after more than eight years with the Leeds-based bookmaker.
Wilson joined SBG in 2012 as a priority VIP account manager and was responsible for the management of VIP customers on SBG’s Sky Vegas product, spending just over a year in the role.
In 2013, his VIP management remit was expanded to include other SBG products including Sky Bet, Sky Casino, Sky Poker and Sky Bingo.
Wilson later moved to become head of high value at SBG in October 2016, where he was responsible for the development of a team responsible for high-value commercial performance across the brands.
In addition, he oversaw the definition of SBG’s business-wide high-value strategy with a particular focus on the identification, retention and growth of high-value customers on their customer journey.
Wilson then spent a year as head of betting and gaming customer relationship management before transitioning to the head of CRM role in December 2018.
In a post on LinkedIn, Wilson hailed “almost nine brilliantly enjoyable years” with SBG.
“I consider myself unbelievably fortunate to have been able to share a very successful journey with many extremely talented people and I would like to thank them all for making my experience so rewarding,” Wilson wrote.
“I am excited to be kicking off the next chapter tomorrow as I take on a fresh challenge at Interactive Investor. Looking forward to meeting my new colleagues and getting stuck in,” he added.
Wilson has now joined UK-based online investment service Interactive Investor in a similar head of CRM role.
