Sky Betting & Gaming launches Amazon Alexa skill
New feature to give Super 6 users exclusive content and advice from Jeff Stelling and Paul Merson

Sky Betting & Gaming (SB&G) has developed a new skill for Amazon Alexa devices that will offer exclusive audio content to users of its Soccer Saturday Super 6 game.
After enabling the skill, users can add it to their daily flash round-up and get the latest predictions from Jeff Stelling and Paul Merson as well as clips from Soccer Saturday.
SB&G said video versions of the content would be available from 16 November when Amazon’s Echo Show—the first Echo with a display—arrives in the UK.
“This is a really exciting development for Super 6,” said senior product manager Andy Evans.
“It’s an innovative use of content and a fantastic opportunity to reach our audiences in new places.
“It’s a hassle-free way to make the latest Super 6 news synonymous with a player’s daily routine and the convenience of high quality content from the nation’s favourite football presenters is unbeatable.”
SB&G said the new skill was the first phase of plans for Soccer Saturday Super 6 to develop interactive content and additional skills for Alexa, which will allow players to make voice selections as part of the game and more.
The free-to-play prediction game has proved an excellent acquisition tool for Sky Bet, but the operator did not specify whether it would be developing a similar skill for the sportsbook.
Paddy Power is the only other major operator to have developed an Alexa skill, using it in a similar manner to deliver tips, sporting news and ‘banter’.
