Sky Poker eyes B2B expansion as revenue grows 24%
Head of poker Richard Milner tells eGR preliminary discussions are underway to explore new B2B opportunities

Sky Poker is exploring the possibility of developing a B2B model for its revamped product after the vertical recorded revenue growth of 24% year-on-year, eGaming Review can reveal.
Head of Sky Poker Richard Milner told eGR that internal discussions were currently underway at the Leeds-based firm, although the B2B strategy will depend on a number of factors and has yet to be defined.
“We are coming at this from a position of strength and have a poker product that will certainly attract interest from others,” Milner said. “Provided it’s beneficial to our business our player ecology, we wouldn’t rule [B2B] out,” he added.
According to figures shared exclusively by Sky Poker with eGR, the brand’s overall revenues increased 24% year-on-year with mobile and tablet now accounting for 19% of revenues. New active players increased 10% while revenue per player was up 17%.
“There’s no doubt that the poker market is tough as we’ve seen from the figures posted by others in recent months, but we’re optimistic we can outperform the market and continue to grow considerably,” Milner said.
The Sky Betting and Gaming brand launched a revamped version of its poker product last year, which utilised new software and featured redesigned and resizable tables.
“We are really pleased with the impact of our new poker product and business overall,” Milner said.
“One of the key objectives of the new product was to give Sky Poker a platform for growth and to improve our development processes, with faster speed to market.
“This has been demonstrated over the last 12 months as various features have been added, most recently with the successful roll out of enhancements to mobile and tablet apps,” Milner added.
The news follows the recent launch of Sky Betting and Gaming’s new Playtech-powered casino brand Sky Casino on both desktop and mobile.
