Snai launches in-running streaming service
Italian operator moves to improve in-running offer with introduction of live sports pictures

Italian operator Snai has launched a new online sports streaming service to bolster its in-running offer and keep pace with its foreign and local rivals.
Snai Live, which was added to the snai.it site yesterday, will provide account holders with more than 500 streamed events per month, including action from the German, Swedish and Polish football leagues as well as a large number of ITF tennis tournaments.
The introduction of the streaming service, which will only be available to funded accounts, comes after the operator recently increased the number of in-running betting opportunities on site.
According to the firm, Snai now offers as many as 1,000 in-play events per week with its sharpened in-running focus “part of an internet expansion project to create a product closer to the demands and expectations of Snai customers”.
Snai’s online division has come under pressure from the arrival of a number of foreign operators into the regulated online market, with the likes of bet365, William Hill, bwin and Paddy Power all taking sizable market share.
In addition, reported turnover figures for January showed the operator had fallen behind local rivals Lottomatica, Eurobet and Sisal.
Italy’s online sports betting market has enjoyed something of a boon over the past 12-18 months with regulatory change leading to substantial market growth.
Last year online stakes grew by 23% to 1.6bn and the market is set to increase further this year with the likes of Sky Betting and Gaming, planetwin365 and 888 all readying a sportsbook launch.
