Snaitech breaks €15m GGR barrier to top Italian online betting rankings in April
Playtech-owned operator defeats Sisal and bet365 as Apollo Global Management completes 100% buyout of Lottomatica via Gamenet subsidiary

Snaitech took top spot in the Italian online betting rankings for April after raking in monthly gross gaming revenue (GGR) of €15m.
The Playtech-owned operator was the only sports betting business to break the €15m revenue mark last month having fought off competition from March winner Sisal (€13.3m) and bet365 (€13.1m) in third.
Rounding off the top five for April were Eurobet (€12.4m) and Goldbet (€12.2m), while SKS365 (€10.1m) slipped to sixth position despite earning twice as much GGR as seventh-placed Lottomatica (€5.1m).
Lottomatica could be set for an assault on the top five next month, however, after Wall Street giant Apollo Global Management completed its 100% acquisition of the business via its Gamenet Group subsidiary earlier this week.
The combined business would have accrued roughly €1.6bn of revenue in 2019 and managed €22bn in wagers, and management are confident it can now become the country’s overall market leader.
Snaitech enjoyed 14.5% market share as a percentage of GGR, while Sisal and bet365 were the only operators to earn more than 12%.
Indeed, bet365 comfortably triumphed in the online turnover rankings for April, raking in €215.8m on a margin of 6%, to beat closest rival Goldbet (€128.8m) on a margin of 9.5%.
Bet365 obtained 18.6% market share as a percentage of online turnover last month.
