Snaitech tops Italian market in May with 13.5% share of GGR
Playtech-owned operator continues impressive Italian growth, although bet365 led the way on turnover
Snaitech remains top of the pile in Italy’s online betting industry after having achieved a GGR share of 13.5% during May.
The Playtech subsidiary generated GGR of €13.2m (£11.3m) for the month, industry data reveals.
Flutter-owned Sisal remained in second place with a GGR of €12.7m and a corresponding market share of 12.98%, while SKS365 secured third spot with 11.55% and GGR of €11.3m.
Bet365 was in fourth place, followed by Goldbet in fifth after recording GGR of €11m and €10.6m, respectively.
Entain’s Eurobet with €9.3m and bwin with €2.3m were in sixth and ninth spot.
Flutter’s PokerStars (11th) and Betfair (19th) brands posted GGR of €1.4m and €778,473 to score market share of 1.41% and 0.8%, respectively.
William Hill was 14th after recording a GGR of €1.1m, which equated to a share of 1.1%.
Basing market share on a percentage of turnover saw bet365 come out on top.
The privately-owned operator posted a turnover of €221.3m and a corresponding market share of 23.05%.
Snaitech secured an 11.14% market share off the back of €107m in turnover.
