SportPesa nets Irish FA sponsorship
Nairobi-headquartered operator agrees two-year deal with FAI including corporate social responsibility programme
African betting operator SportPesa has announced a new sponsorship deal with the Football Association of Ireland (FAI).
The two-year partnership will see SportPesa become the FAI’s latest commercial partner and the two organisations will work together on a corporate social responsibility programme.
The FAI has been added to the operator’s portfolio of football sponsorships alongside Premier League clubs Everton, Arsenal and Southampton and Championship side Hull City.
Shaun Simmonds, head of marketing at SportPesa, said: “We are delighted to announce this ground-breaking partnership with the FAI.
“This is an incredibly exciting time for football in Ireland with the country set to host some key matches during next year’s European Championships.
“As with our other partnerships in sport, we are looking forward to playing a key role in the FAI’s ongoing CSR programmes and initiatives,” he added.
SportPesa has a significant presence in Ireland as the gaming partner of the Guinness Pro14 Rugby Championship and the sponsors of Irish Premier Division outfit Cork City.
