Sportradar opens Mumbai office and appoints GM for India
Data giant commits to world’s most populus nation with plans to tap into cricket-crazed demographics

Sportradar has opened a new office in Mumbai as it looks to strengthen its presence in India.
The data giant has also named sports marketing expert Prasun Bhadani as the firm’s general manager (GM) for India.
Bhadani links up with the New York-listed firm after spells with RISE Worldwide and the Rhiti Group where he was responsible for managing major Indian cricket stars and other sports personalities.
In his new role as India GM, Bhadani will be responsible for overseeing Sportradar’s strategy for the region, strengthening relationships and forging new partnerships across key business verticals.
He will report directly to Sportradar’s managing director for APAC, Oscar Brodkin.
Speaking on his appointment, Bhadani said: “India has a rich sporting culture and sports fans here have deep passion and enthusiasm. It is an exciting time for a sports technology company like ours to be at the centre of the action.
“I look forward to supporting Sportradar in its goal to continue innovating the sports industry through impactful technological solutions,” he added.
Brodkin commented: “India is a key market and will contribute significantly to our overall growth in the Asia Pacific region. Prasun has the experience and ability to help us achieve our business objectives in India and at the same time prioritise the delivery of quality service and value to our partners.”
Sportradar currently works with the Board of Control for Cricket in India to provide integrity for both the IPL and WPL.
The company said the commitment to India comes as there are “more business opportunities poised to be unlocked” on the sub-continent.
